A few thoughts about the latest stuff...

This is probably just gonna be some kind of mad ramble - heh, what's new?

The past two mp3s we've popped up I haven't been too happy with. Yes, they were done in a rush and were experimental, but they don't match the recent quality of tThe Iytean Menace or City Of Gold trailers.
The staff party audio was not recorded in Adam's computer room, it was recorded in his lounge. And instead of recording ech line seperatly, we did it "live". It didn't really work, I'll admit it now. Also, the treatement we use for Cre'at's voice appears to have changed with the upgraded Cool Edit programme. Now its a little difficult to actually understand what he's saying.
So, for the next trailer, KeepingThe Peace, it's back to recording the lines separatly. Most of them have already been recorded, thankfully.
We have also obtained a proper microphone and a small mixing desl, so eventually, when we need new stuff recorded, (if for example we were to re-record the Blanche mp3 for something a little special...) the sound quality, hopefully, should sky rocket.
As for the music, well, again, experimental. I wanted to use Silent Night as it was the most ironic. I had in my head something that started off slowely, Then it would build up into a very pompous piece, harmonies etc all over the place. Well, as usual, what my brain wants my fingers are unable to provide. So it was simplified. The version used on the actual audio scene was done with th eFluid2 font. The actual midi track was laid down using the Creative font. When it came time to re-record it for the instrumental, I tried the new-ish Fluid3 font. And that's where thetrouble started. Firstly, different fonts sometimes playtracks slightly differently, hence the slight timing probs with the first, cello part. Then there's the viola. Now, its a beautiful sound, almost like an actual viola. However, at least a couple of the notes are slightly sharp. The fonts going to have to be taken into the Vienna editor to see if it can be corrected.
And of course, as, usual, I had left doingall this to the last minute. So the actual editing is a little sloppy.
Not my finest hour.
So, what next? Well, I've almost finished the music for the first episode Operation Orifice, a play for Dam Audios. After that, as long as Aaron gets around to editing the play, theres themusic for the Doctor Who Crossover Adventure site's latest, A Time Lord In Prince Henry's Court. And somewhere in between them I have to do the openingtheme for Chris Hoyle's latest film, The Schrodinger Effect. Then score the actual film and all the dvd extras. At thesame time, there's the trailers for Staggering Stories as well as a certain, top secret projectthat Staggering Stories is involved in. I know for a fact that George is VERY excited about it.
Ok, well, that's all for now.

BIBBLE!

I think he is referring to his drying out - kicking the booze, drugs, gorging, goats and 80's music. I don't think he's got the willpower myself, but we'll all support you old friend!

...open a can of Lord M on your ass!

How come that Purcell creature gets away with it, hmm? HE is the one with the goat fetish! Not me, HIM!
And he's obsessed with dead bodies. No, really. Seems to think they get put in Ginster's slices or something.
And as for the eighties music, may I remind you all I didn't discover 80's music till the nineties? As always, ahead of my time.
Its bad enough having to defend it against so - called "Nu" metal in rec arts dr who mod.

Hmm...

 Oo-er! I knew you had a few problems but I didn't realise they went that far!

Me, obsessed with dead bodies?! Just because I once checked your loft for one - you do live in the Death Capital of Crawley, if not Sussex - seemed like a sensible precaution! What is the life expectancy in your block these days?!

Oh, well, I'll ignore your aspersions - it is only to be expected, you're going through a tough time drying out. Remember if you have a craving for the 80's, drink, drugs, large quantities of food, farmyard animals or daytime tv - just say no! It's just not worth it.

I'm insulted to to know that you think I'm trying to dry out? Where do you thinkI get my lunatic imaginings from, hmm?
Ginsters?

Though I will admit that I don't drink - hah!
