Got stuck on the train the other day

Whilst I was on my way back from a job trial on a farm in Cornwall, I got held up on a train near Exeter.

Some poor bugger committed suicide on the tracks.

Unfortunately for me, I was on the train the ran him over.

My travel time should've been 5 hours, but due to the unfortunate situation, my overall travel time on the trains became 8 hours.

I was annoyed and nackered when I arrived back home.

Nasty! Mind you, if I lived near Exeter..! No, shouldn't joke about such things.

It is a particularly selfish way to commit suicide, can't be at all pleasant for the driver and it certainly isn't for the poor sods who have to walk down the track picking up the bits (used to hear stories from Mitch about such things). If people really must do it, can't they just take some pills or something?

8 hour train journey. Not pleasant, especially if you're expecting 'only' 5. At least you've got a bit more room to move around on a train compared with driving or even flying. 11 hour flights are no fun at all, let me tell you! The moral of the story - take a very good book (or two)!
