Trek Prequel Movie?

Post by tallorder »

Looks like the rumour mill is going on this one again... Young Kirk and Spock at the academy... JJ Abrams to direct and Matt Damon to play the fat bloke in the corset!

Thoughts anyone?

A bad idea, I think. Is the Shat going to come back to play his own grandfather? Is Captain Jeffrey Archer's dog going to be in charge of Starfleet Academy? Will it end with a 'funny' moment on the bridge with Kirk and McCoy laughing at Spock?

Why recast these characters when they can create new ones? Marketing? Do they really think people will be happy with impersonations? True fans will never like the recasting and no one else will watch it anyway.

The most worrying thing I've heard recently? No. There was something about a paving slab...!

Bad, bad, bad !!!!

File it in the 'taking the piss' section of the 'ill-advised continuation of franchise' folder.
