And it's about bloody time as well.There has been talk of a sequel floating around the internet for about the past decade now and all have come to nothing.I think the reason is Tron is regarded as something of a cult film as opposed to mainstream Disney entertainment.
I dont know whether Stephen Lisberger will be directing the sequel but it would be nice to have his hand at the controls.Obviously there will be different characters in the sequel as Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner and Cindy Morgan are all getting a bit long in the tooth now
The other main question is what will the animation be like?The original CGI animation,at the time,was ground-breaking but looks rather....quaint now,However,seeing CGI animation has come on in leaps and bounds over the past 25 years,it should be interesting to see what the finished article looks like,if ever it was to hit the screen.
One other thing,I dont want that bloke in the home-made Tron costume with three buttocks to be the star of the film :lol:
