Sylvester McCoy on Doctors.

Post by Adam J Purcell »

On the Monday episode of BBC1 trashy daytime TV soap, Doctors, Sylvester made a guest star appearance!

I've just watched it on the iPlayer (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... lipop_Man/). Never seen an episode before, so I have no idea about the characters or some funeral or other they are going on about but that doesn't matter!

Sylvester is playing a has-been actor best know, well, I won't spoil it. Lots of indirect Doctor Who references (even a photo in his house of him in his Who costume!) Probably not laugh out loud funny but amusing nonetheless. Even a direct reference to Pertwee in there!

Worth a watch.

The writer explains a bit about his ideas behind this particular episode:

I was working from home when this was on so I caught it (out of the corner of my eye as I was obviously busy working of course) and would agree that it's worth seeing if you haven't already.

As McCoy's acting was the last thing before Blink to have me hiding behind the sofa I'm pleased to report that it has improved somewhat.
