Mornington Crescent - round one.

Post by macfadyan »

Ok, we'll start with a simple round, with no extra rules,. However....

Overlands are out for this round, ok?

so, after due consideration, I'll use a classic opening gambit from the 1922 eurpoean finalist, Schultzing.....

Green Park.

Hmm, interesting start point but you won't catch me out with that blatant Paddington Gambit.

Sloane Square.

well, I din't want to get too complicated as there are, believe it or not, sopme folks here who've never played The Game. I'm having a similar thing with the rec arts dr who moderated game - and that includes time travel!

so, after that....

Goodge Street.

Quite a move! Haven't seen a Reverse-Badgering like that since 1987!

I see Samantha is desperate to show her talents but I don't need a hand just yet.

Warren- oopps, nearly got me.

Charing Cross

I'm invoking Morton's Fork as of now.

That's a bit naughty - I thought we were playing with just the basic rules!

In that case I invoke the Livingstone Integrated Transport rules 2002c (I believe the game standards body now include this in the standard rules, anyway?)

As stated by LIT2002c, being south of the river and beyond zone 2, from the shadowy Morden I can go to:

Wimbledon.

Shhhhhh!....There is a very important game going on between two self-declared masters of the time-honoured game of 'Mornington Crescent'.I'm as much in the dark as you are but we should not disturb them.Watch and learn....

Adam, just caught you out.Charing Cross is an overland station as well.
