Who fan buried in TARDIS shaped coffin

Post by tallorder »

A friend sent me this news article and I though of you guys - I was expecting it to be someone we all knew:-

LONDON, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- A big fan of Dr. Who has been buried in a coffin
shaped like the TV timelord's vehicle, Tardis, The London Sun reported Friday.
Tim Haws died of cancer at 43 with a life-long love of the science fiction
classic. So, his brother-in-law, Peter Brooker, converted a closet he was
making into the time-machine coffin.
Haws, an artist with two children, was buried in the Tardis at a cemetery
near his home in Brighton.
"He'd have loved the joke -- it was the perfect send-off," said Haws' sister, Sarah.

All jokes about who fans 'in the closet' and traditional Who being dead and buried can reply below...

Still, not as bad as Jim Henson - Kermit the Frog and Big Bird sang 'It's not easy being Green' at his funeral. To paraphrase US comic Denis Leary: You know you've had a productive life if a f**king sock gets up and sings at your funeral!

Was he buried in a Tom Baker costume, though? Did the undertaker agree to force his mouth into a manic smile and perm his hair? Can the coffin time travel and will his body have all manner of 'Weekend at Bernie's' style adventures through time and space?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Oh no, don't set him off, please! You know what he's like when it comes to jokes about death and Who. He's only recently stopped mentioning Hartnell's corpse,(though the goat references still remain)....fixating on Pertwee now..

I worry.
YOU HAVE BEEN WATCHING.....
