The rules site tends to get a bit overloaded - Mornington Crescent is becoming the latest Internet fad, it seems! Keep trying, I'm sure you'll get in eventually.
But back to the game!
I think you'll find that for the purposes of the game that Charing Cross does _not_ count as an overland as it does have underground platforms. Overland refers to stations where all tube platforms are above ground. Morden, for example...
But ignoring Macfadyan's transgression, as it plays directly into my hands, I will unleash my minions on:
One thing I do find rather worrying is the amount of refences to 'Morden' London Underground station made by Adam.We all know what the name implies and what sinister......associates Mr.Morden had.The next time I am in Morden tube station,I shall be constantly looking over my shoulder to see if there are any spider-like alien creatures scuttling about in the.....shadows.Tony,I strongly suggest it's about time you called forth the 'Grey Council' rules for this section of the game.....
I wish I was a glow-worm,a glow-worm's never glum,it's hard to be unhappy when the sun shines out your bum!
ooooh, nowq then. I really wouldn't have played that. No, really. I wouldn't have.
you see, you forgot the basic thrust of the Lewis Endevour which leads almost without exception to the Nettles' 1982 ruling, whenin if one move is succesfull it is wise to try to duplicate it in as many varients as possible leading to an overwhelming number of such plays. Rolling stock is immedietly held for 2 and a half hours outside of East Croydon.
and, thus, inevitably, it leads me to play....
Mornington Crescent.
I believe the correct response is "Git".
yours, triumphently...
YOU HAVE BEEN WATCHING.....
Mac (the Menlove Stokes of Dr Who music, apparently...)
"You can hear the whole of Human history in the sound of a cello"
Not sure bout your reasoning though... surely, with that rule, delays would have taken effect round Chipping Norton, thus preventing Mornington Crescent and indeed, anything east of Kingston?
