OK, Daleks in Manhatten. My initial reaction was 'meh...' but I like the look of part 2 so fully expect to upgrade my 'meh...' to an 'ooooooo!!!!!'.

Look back at the classic series... part one of anything tends to be a but 'meh'. I liked the Soloman character a lot... and loved the 'Hogrons'.Hobbit wrote:OK, Daleks in Manhatten. I quite liked it but it will be interesting to see how long it takes for the other Cult of Skaro members to turn on Sec and zap him for tainting his Dalek DNA with that of a Human,violating their laws of genetic purity.

About forty minutes this Saturday is my guess. Meh....
I think the problem is that I LOVE evil Daleks. Daleks should have no redeeming qualities. They should try to take over the galaxy in ingenious ways, kill lots of innocent people, get foiled by the Doc and escape in the nick of time, twiddling their metaphorical moustaches.
I haven't enjoyed all this 'finding their inner human' idea at all... sorry

It was the writer who got it wrong in my humble opinion, that would have been more believable than what was served up. First part was promising but the second just fell apart for a variety of reasons, mainly dreadful plotting. Yeah, kill my arse says the Doctor.
