Released on 23rd November 2003 at 5:16pm to mark Doctor Who's 40th Anniversary as closely as possible -- give or take ten hours -- The Six Minute Doctor's Birthday was an attempt by BTR to once again try something different: a silent movie, telling an entire story through visuals alone, with no reliance on dialogue. This film also marked BTR's first use of CGI effects.

THE SIX-MINUTE DOCTOR'S BIRTHDAY BY SHIZUKANA EIGA

The Doctor and Guy arrive in Shorncliffe, intending to spend the afternoon having some rest and relaxation. Fighting off Autons and Nestene squids is sure to take it out of you, and so spending some time at a quiet beach somewhere seems like just the ticket.

However, Guy hasn't told the Doctor the real reason why he wanted to come here. Guy has a plan. A secret plan. A secret plan involving a secret of the Doctor's. We all know the Doctor keeps secrets, but what could Guy have possibly learnt about the Doctor that has compelled him to want to follow the path he has chosen?

In over a thousand years, there is a particular event the Doctor has rarely involved himself in. This year, however, he isn't going to be given a choice -- it's his birthday, and Guy wants to ensure the Doctor has a good time. But will the Doctor manage to live to see his birthday? A certain "outer space robot person" might have other ideas...

From the producers of 'The Six-Minute Survivor', The Six-Minute Doctor's Birthday is a humorous look into an often neglected area of Doctor Who debate - the whole issue of the Doctor's age. Containing both comedy and in-jokes for the fans, this film is designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the world's longest running science fiction series.

The Six-Minute Guy Cubed ended up a mammoth beast. The ambitious script, full of very witty lines of dialogue, was so tight that nothing could be cut without harming the integrity of the script. So when the final edit came in at eight-and-a-half minutes, well in excess of the requisite six minutes, we knew we had a situation on our hands! The film's official release was declined, as it failed to meet specified guidelines. This means BTR's in-house publication of this "lost classic" in November 2004 was the film's first airing, and its re-release restores the film to its place alongside the rest of BTR Video's current output.

THE SIX-MINUTE GUY CUBED BY DARRAN JORDAN

The Ebullient Zautrino has found himself at something of a loose end. With no warriors to fight in the Tardis, he suspects his fighting ability may be slipping.

So when Guy introduces him to the wonders of the Tardis' Artificial Reality Suite, he realises that this might just be his ticket to eternal training.

What he didn't count on, however, was the fact that using the AR suite might be harder than it first appears...
