A friend has been recommending Homeplug to anyone who'll still listen, claiming a decent minimum of 80Mbps. I've been thinking of giving it a try myself but somehow a network isn't a network to me unless I'm tripping over cables in the middle of the night.

I see that regularly on the telescreens at the Pru. Having said that, the Reading Bus telescreens run Linux and I'm told they're no more reliable.

However, the mainframe has only crashed once in the 13 years I've been there :D
