Great podcast, gentlemen! Very much enjoyed the discussion of Waters of Mars.
You all made a very good point about the Dalek-- why would they want to save little Brooke's future, when the result is human expansion into space?
What if-- and this is high speculation here-- what if they didn't save her because of her granddaughter's expansion into space, but because they knew that Brooke is the reason that the Doctor will make the decision that leads to his own destruction? The Doctor's death would certainly be worth saving one little kid's life from the point-of-view of a Dalek. Certainly, we'll never see that explored in the show, but it plugs the plot hole for me.
