I was thinking... are the meek really likely to be the sort of people who'd know what to do with the Earth if they inherited it? I'd have said they were a poor choice to be honest. They're far more likely to suggest it's not for them or give it away quietly to someone who's making a lot of noise. Just imagine the conversation on Judgement Day:

GOD: And the meek shall inherit the Earth... there you go, it's all yours.

The MEEK: Oh.. um.. well it's really very kind but we're sort of happy here being meek and minding out own business.

GOD: Well, I'll give it to someone else then.

The MEEK: Okay, whatever you think is best Mr. God, Sir. I mean you are God so you'd know, wouldn't you. Sorry to cause any trouble. Would you like a weak cup of lemon tea? We're holdind a jumble sale tomorrow - do come along if you're not too busy. Ta ta for now...

The BRASH: 'Ere GOD - We'll 'ave it!

"You have often said... pass"

Meek? No, that was a typo - it was really 'the geek shall inherit the Earth."

Sadly it has already come true - worship your new master Bill Gates!

Let him riffle through your computer when you do a Windows Update. Let him force you to use his buggy, virus loving, software. Let him force you to upgrade your hardware and software (but not without calling them for permission thanks to Windows Activation). Let him take your money and your first born!

Worship Bill Gates!!
