I think there's a definite call for a gathering round our place - involving pringles, dip and lots of drinkies - to mark the momentous occasion.

Then we can have half an hour of bitching over why it was rubbish, 10 minutes of mumbling that yeah of course we'll watch next weeks, and then you can all bugger off round Adam's and leave me to watch it again - because Christopher Ecclestone is a rather lovely bloke and I need to be able to gaze at him lovingly without comments from the cheap seats.

I will provide the pringles. Tony can provide the cheap seats and general muttering.

Keith has promised not to thump him...sort of...

Yours ever so excited and counting the hours just like she used to as a lass (cue Hovis music) all those years ago..when life was good and men wore eye shadow and there was still a chance that George Michael was straight...sigh...

Don't you start getting misty eyed over the 80's too!!

It's bad - I'm an ancient 30 years old (talking of which, what do you want for your imminent birthday, old Hobbit?) but I'm having a hard time not letting myself get too excited over this!

I went to the BBC site yesterday evening and watched what they laughingly call 'trailers' (more like those dreadful ITV 'shove a famous person gazing into nowhere before the next programme' ident things). The interviews were more interesting, especially the one about the music, oddly... Not that they played any of the new theme, the little tykes! And was that Alex I saw in one of the clips? Anyway, it did the trick of making me want to see it and even look forward to it! Not so much that I downloaded Rose, though. No, I'll wait those two weeks and try to remain spoiler free!

Must try to dampen down my enthusiasm, I'll only be disappointed otherwise!

As for the gathering, yep, it sounds good to me! Any chance of you getting a plasma or LCD screen in time?!! I'll bring some kleenex, with Tony watching new Doctor Who it might be needed!

I dunno what interview with murry gold type people you watched, matey, but yes, it did have snippets of the new theme and also blobs of th3e title sequence..

Ive changed my opinion on the new theme slightly...I stil like it a lot...but it aint as good as yada yada ydada. Some nice touches to it and it certainly fills the sound out for the joys of 5.1.

So, I like it, but Ive stopped going \'oooooooh;'.

and yes, I am starting to get slightly excited, lol...ridiculous, really but I cant help it..I min slight culture shock about the amount of coverage its getting.....I mean, this is dr who...we're supposed to enjoy it sadly, on our own, without normal people knowing. The Not We are coming, folks...

as for the thingy Hobbit face suggested, well..yes, fine.,.ok...though ill spend the whole time worrying if my video picked it up, lol..
