Ahem.

As the Staggering Accordes state that Purcell FACE NEEDS TO BE MOCKED FOR THIS, i HEARBY STATE THAT HE IS, INDEED, GETTING VERY VERY CLOSE NOW TO BEING OFFICIALLY old.

You may have noticed that there might possibly have been the trouble with caps lock there.

this is the kind oif thing that happens when you are, officially, ol.d

Watch it, young lady. There's a big wicker man in my back garden with your name on it. There's an even bigger one for Macfadyan ... I had to triple the size of the cage in its stomach in order to have it fit him.

Thank you all for your, er, kind comments!!

Yes, I am old - have been for quite some time. 31 - fast approaching middle age and that spread has been building for years already!

On the plus-side the day has been pronounced a Public Holiday so all can celebrate my benevolent greatness.

As for the Lord of Summerisle - I was wondering where Alan Whicker had got to. Never expected him to be in someone's back garden...

Yes,all hail our Dear and Benevolent Leader on this Public Holiday of his birthday.May he rule for many years to come.May all his political opponents be carted off in the middle of the night never to be seen again, may his loyal subjects be forced out of their houses by his black-shirted assistants, have a flag with his face printed on it thrust into their hands and are made wave and cheer as he makes his Glorious way amongst his adoring subjects and may his 're-education camps' never grow empty but echo with the screams of 'adulation' coming from the throats of those poor, benighted souls who lost their way in their undying support for him.

I am just keeping on the right side of El Presidente as he is due to have one of his regular purges of opponents.I wish I hadn't said 'purge' as it brings back unpleasant memories......
