Sarah has a discus? this something to do with the 2012 olympics?

Yeah, good idea, might help smooth the transition for the kiddies who dont really get regeneration - if thats when its gonna happen. Nah, good call - and its not the first time shes been asked back - JNT asked her to help smooth over the baker davison regen.

But what I would LOVE to see is the reutnr of....

K9!!!!!

oh, and if RTD is gonna start all this nonsense with returning this n that, well....surely at least, at the very least, the Brig should come back?

Why not? She was a good character then and will probably do well now. I'm only thankful it isn't Deborah Watling. I've had enough of Alan Langley's posturing to last me a lifetime.

More interesting is the news that the Cybermen are back. Question is, will they be the JNT creations that fell apart when the Doctor sneezed or the original silent emotionless killing machines that we all hid behind the sofa from? Actually, it was my brother who hid behind the sofa while I'd take the opportunity to steal the Jaffa Cakes from his tea while he did it. The Cybermen were bad ass villains but they didn't compare to the chance of lifting a scrumped Jaffa Cake.

Oy veh, again with the Jaffa Cakes....everything is Jaffa Cakes with you, you're not a normal boy. Why couldn't you be like that nice Macfadyen boy, always kind to his friends, he is. Never goes round stealing Jaffa Cakes...

Anyway

Cybermen never freaked me out, but then I only ever saw the camp JNT variety, Got very cross when they were able to fire a gun in the TARDIS (wanky fan stage of life...we've all been there...some of us never left...).

I have high hopes though as last season was excellent (once they'd got their hippy Dalek phase out of their system).

I assume you got over that stage yourself - I didn't hear any complaints from you about Captain Jack firing off his weapon in the console room...

Touchy feely cybermen? I wouldn't be surprised, I can certainly see them trying to highlight their humanity so we can appreciate how monstrous they've become and what they've lost along the way.

I just hope they lose their severe weakness to cheddar being rubbed into their chest vents...

Still, some very strong stories last year, particularly from those who don't have the initials RTD (the cyberman story is apparently by a chap named Tom MacRae), so there is certainly hope.

As for Sarah Jane Smith - I hope she doesn't become a regular. I've nothing against the character or Ms. Sladen but I think it would be more effective to have her as an ocassional Earth-bound character. With her presumed journalistic contacts she could open up stories that would be more difficult to get going without her involvement. Should be interesting.
